Shoplifter Arrested.

Good afternoon,

Earlier today( 31/03/2026), we were called to Tesco in Northallerton after staff reported that a man and two women had taken bottles of spirits without paying.

The call came in at 13:09hrs, officers from Neighbourhood team, Response and Traffic teams carried out an area search. 

At 13:38hrs, the individuals were located at the train station, and arrested.

The stolen items were recovered and returned to the store.

Great teamwork from Tesco staff and our officers meant this was quickly dealt with, and the investigation is now underway.
